So on Thursday, I was doing backwards crossovers and things were going pretty well.  I normally hate the damn things because I have a tendency to stick my butt out like some teen-aged slut and then I add the hookeresque hip throw just to make things really pornographic.  Why, I do not know.  Duke and I have been working really hard on getting that stuff under control, and for exactly three crossovers, I had it right.  Then I had the thought of making sure that when I crossed under, my feet weren’t too far apart.  That’s when the shit hit the fan.  My blades collided, and there’s nothing that can be done at that point.  Down I went.  Ouch.  I landed on my right leg, and I felt it in two spots – butt bone and the funky deformed spot on my ankle (caused by my skate – it’s a little lumpy area above my ankle bone.  Charming).  Way to go, Grace!  My ankle hurt the most when I landed.  Then yesterday when I went for my lesson, I was feeling it mostly in my butt.  That’s fine, it’s stretchable.  We worked out the kinks and went about the lesson.  Which is when I noticed a new issue.  Apparently I broke my fall with my left hand, and every time I moved my wrist, it hurt.  It was bizarre – I hadn’t noticed anything at all until I was skating.  It’s all wrapped up now, and it still hurts.  Ick.  Duke said, “Welcome to the aches and pains of ice dancing.”  Uh, thanks, I think.

On my quest for the perfect cup of semi-diet coffee, I have discovered Stevia.  It’s a plant derivative that has a natural sweetness which is like 100 times that of real sugar.  Actually, my discovery is a complete and total lie.  My boyfriend discovered Stevia, and I have become willing to put it in my coffee.  I’m drinking decaf caramel truffle flavored coffee with two packs of Stevia and two teaspoons of creamer.  It’s not bad.  It’s very sweet which is good.  It’s not as good as Starbucks, but I’m only allowed to enter that sacred hallow once a week.

Speaking of hallows, the seventh Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is available for pre-order.  Of course, anyone interested in this information already knows this.  I’ve got mine coming!!!
